GRAND OLE OPRY - The Weaver Brothers
Abner Weaver, a small-town mayor in the Ozarks, through the music of performers from
'The Grand Ole Opry," and the antics and help of his family and the local citizens, manages
to pass a legislative bill to help the farmers, and also wins the election for state
government from a group of crooked politicians.  Roy Acuff and the Smoky Mountain Boys,
The Weavers, Uncle Dave Macon, Dorris Macon,  and Allen Rocky Lane
Uncle Dave was the first "star" of the Opry; he had become an entertainer at age 56, after
retiring as owner of a mule-powered hauling company in middle Tennessee. His stage
persona, that of a southern gentleman in a plug hat, tail-coat and chin whiskers, was only a
slight exaggeration of his real self. He carried on a tradition of minstrel-style banjo playing,
and sang songs that ranged from sentimental ballads through comedy songs, fiddle tunes
and breakdowns to topical political numbers. After several years on the southern
vaudeville circuit, he joined the  Opry not long after it went on the air in 1926.

of the owner's will, must be operated by Roy for ninety days, and at the end of that time,
family friend Doc Moffit, must decide whether to turn over the ranch to Roy or the rough
Corby boys. Hot-Off-the-Griddle ACTION! Sweet-off-the-Fiddle SONGS!   Roy Acuff, Guinn
"Big Boy" Williams, Tommy Ivo, Jason Robards Sr., Jock Mahoney,  and Ralph Littlefield

FEUDIN'  RYTHYM Eddie Arnold 1949 Movie
The story of a musical cowboy radio program whose host is hoping to move the show to
television; unfortunately, his producer (a society matron with high artistic ideals) would
rather hear Shakespeare than cattle calls. Arnold (strumming on a monogrammed guitar) is
told to scram by the old battle-axe for fear of upsetting her bratty nephew, who is actually
Eddy's son... lots of great music, songs and comedy.  Stars: Eddie Arnold, Carolina Cotton,
Mustard & Gravy (country comedy team) Gloria Henry,  Fuzzy Knight, The Oklahoma
Wranglers, Tommy Ivo and Kirby Grant.

with the Continental Correspondence School, hoping therewith to find true love. After
fibbing to her aunt and cousin that she has already found a beau, the fanciful "Poindexter
March" who is coming while on military leave to visit her by bus, Judy is driven to the
town's bus station where she desperately accosts a single man (Robert Lowery) and
persuades him to pose as her swain, presenting a golden opportunity for him, because he
is a confidence man, and her abrupt attachment to him enables "Poindexter" to shift into
high gear with his crime partner for a swindle of the locals. Judy Canova, Robert Lowery,
